Art From the Streets brings gallery to the Central Library

Word on the street is that you’ll want to see this Art From the Streets .

The Gallery at Austin Central Library will debut “ Art From the Streets: 40 Community Artists ,” a new gallery put together by unhoused or at-risk creators, on Saturday, July 27 running through Sunday, Sept. 29. The gallery is free to visit and open to the public.

Each of the 40 artists — who will attend the reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 — will display two or three unique pieces. Artists receive 95% of the proceeds from sold work.
