ASP release details regarding 4-hour standoff in Prairie County
PRAIRIE COUNTY (KATV) — UPDATE: 1:50 p.m. (7/26/24) ASP held a press conference today at 1:30 p.m. about the shooting that took place July 25 in De Valls Bluff. The suspect was identified as 32 year-old Darrel Lawayne Esau II, who was wanted on warrants for first-degree and attempted murder, and had been wanted by law enforcement for over a year.

Eells named head of UA Little Rock Windgate Education school

Missing woman found safe
Kristi Darnell, 50, have been found safe. Magnolia Police Chief Todd Dew said that Darnell was located about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024. She was taken to Magnolia Regional Medical Center to be medically checked, then released. Authorities had been looking for Darnell since Tuesday night, July 23, 2024.
Indiana man flees and shoots at Arkansas State Police on I-30
A man fleeing from Arkansas State Police on Interstate 30 was shot and injured Monday night in Hope, Arkansas. The Troopers were pursuing 43-year-old Joshua Harrison of Richmond, Indiana. At approximately 10:10 p.m., Troopers pursued the fleeing suspect on Interstate 30 eastbound near the Hempstead/Nevada County line. At roughly the 36-mile marker, the suspect driver fired shots at Troopers, who returned fire.
