Food Bank of NEA hosting commodity distributions in McCrory, Cotton Plant
The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will hit the road to host a commodity distribution this week. The food bank will be in Woodruff County Wednesday. The first distribution will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11 a.m. or when food runs out, in McCrory at the Three County Fairgrounds at 516 Poplar Avenue.

SEARCY — More than 30 members of Harding’s NCAA II National Championship football team attended the White House College Champions Day on July 22, in Washington, D.C. The event honored all of the NCAA’s 90 national champions from the 2023-24 school year and was held on the South Lawn. Teams participated in a self-guided tour of the White House. One representative from each championship team joined the speakers on stage.

Stuttgart Planning Commission votes to annex 242 acres for new industrial and residential development
The Stuttgart Planning Commission voted to annex 242 acres of industrial and residential property into the city limits during its regular meeting Tuesday night. Bethany Hildebrand, executive director of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce, spoke on behalf of the Stuttgart Industrial Development Corporation (SIDC), an arm of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. Hildebrand requested the commission approve the annexation of SIDC’s industrial park located along Highway 79 between 10th and 2nd Streets.
