Elite edge rusher Hezekiah Harris excited to be back at Auburn this weekend

Hugh Freeze and the Auburn staff will host top prospects this weekend for Big Cat Weekend.

None bigger than Huntsville (Ala.) Jemison ’s touted edge rusher Hezekiah Harris .

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Harris tells On3 he’s excited to be back on The Plains.

“Just getting back down there to spend time with the coaches and other players that’s visiting,” Harris said.

Auburn is one of the early front-runners for Harris who ranks as the On3 Industry’s No. 3 edge rusher and No. 19 prospect overall.

“The family environment and atmosphere,” Harris said of what stands out. T”he coaches really take the time to build relationships and get to know players.”

Harris believes he could thrive for the Tigers as a player.

“DJ Durkin’s scheme and their plan on defense,” he said.

Auburn isn’t the only program Harris is high on.

“I’d say them, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, FSU, Tennessee,” Harris said.

On3 tabs Harris as the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Alabama. Auburn is the On3 RPM favorite coming into his visit.
