2 arrested in connection to drug trafficking in Colbert Co.
SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WAFF) - Two people were arrested in connection to trafficking drugs in Colbert County on Friday morning. According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was issued at a home on 13th Avenue in Sheffield. At the house, deputies said 40 grams of methamphetamine, a 22 caliber rifle, and $388 were found.

Victory Cheer Academy introducing new Victory Gymnastics program in September
CULLMAN, Ala. – Victory Cheer Academy recently announced the launch of its new gymnastics program, Victory Gymnastics, with evaluations scheduled from Aug. 20-23, from 4-7 p.m. As spaces are limited, prospective participants are encouraged to book their slots early to ensure enrollment. Additionally, early registrants will receive a $30 discount on September tuition. Those who sign up by July 31 will be entered into a drawing for free tuition in September, while those who sign up by Aug. 19 will be entered to win a free leotard.

MOODY, Ala. — An officer with the Homewood Police Department is expected to make a full recovery after a man shot at him early Sunday morning in Moody. Officers with the Moody Police Department were called to Ross Drive around 4:35 a.m. Dispatch told responding officers that an off-duty Homewood officer was shot at while he was leaving for work.
