Summer Operations at Palisades Tahoe

Sadly, ski season is over, but the Lake Tahoe adventures won’t stop all summer long. Palisades Tahoe has a slew of summer operations, activities, events, concerts, and more.

One of the most popular event series of the summer is Palisades’ Bluesdays . Every Tuesday from June 18 to August 27 blues musicians from across the country play in Palisades Village.

June 29-30 will kick off the Western States Endurance Run . It’s the oldest 100 mile trail race that starts in Olympic Valley, traverses the traditional lands of the Washoe Tribe, down the Sierra Nevada into Auburn, California.

Another highly anticipated event is the Tahoe Reggae Festival on August 3 and 4, also going down in the Palisades Village. Headliners include Shaggy, Atmosphere, Rebelution, and Cypress Hill.

A couple weeks after that is the Brews, Jazz, and Funk Festival on Augst 17. Test brews from 20 different breweries and enjoy music from Object Heavy, Mescalito, and Galactic featuring Jelly Joseph. Profits benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.

Another ongoing celebration is the Sunsets Live Music Series every Friday starting on July 5 in the Village at Palisades. The lineup includes mostly musicians from the area and admission is free.

Bust out that lederhosen for Palisades’ rendition of Oktoberfest on September 28. Enjoy authentic Bavarian food, beer, live music, games, and more. Don’t miss Joe Smiell’s 20 Piece Bavarian Band and plenty of brats and schnitzel.

Other ongoing activities include, Tram rides, bike rentals, disc golf at High Camp, Olympic Museum at High Camp, the Tahoe Via Ferrata, and roller skating at High Camp (pending snowmelt).
