Auburn has 16 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class with eight projected to play on offense. Needless to say, there is still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December.

What is left for Auburn on offense in the 2024 class? Who are the top recruits at each position and what are Auburn’s chances with each?

The Hot Board has the answers.

Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

    On3 Team Recruiting Ranking

    Quarterbacks (1)

Name (star rating) Hometown OV Previous Current
    Deuce Knight (4) Lucedale, Miss. ND/25% ND/45%
    K.J. Lacey (4) Saraland, Ala. TX/45% TX/40%
    Julian Lewis (5) Carrollton, Ga. 6/14 USC/40% USC/20%

With the Auburn-Lewis recruitment apparently on the downturn, the Tigers now appear to be focused on adding one of Knight or Lacey. At this time, I think the best shot is with Knight, the Notre Dame commitment from Mississippi.

    Running backs (2-3)

Name (star rating) Hometown OV Previous Current
Alvin Henderson (4) Elba, Ala. 9/27 AU AU
    Ousmane Kromah (4) Leesburg, Ga. 5/17 50% 50%
    Daune Morris (3) Murfreesboro, Tenn. 6/14 USC/50% USC/50%
    Shekai Mills-Knight (3) Chattanooga, Tenn. 6/10 45% 45%
    Anthony Rogers (4) Montgomery, Ala. ALA/15% ALA/15%

Not much has changed here. Auburn would like to add either Kromah or Mills-Knight to pair with Henderson, but would not turn down Morris. Auburn, Georgia and FSU appear to be leading the way for Kromah. Ole Miss and Auburn for Mills-Knight.

    Wide receivers (2-3)

Name (star rating) Hometown OV Previous Current
    Derick Smith (4) Selma, Ala. 6/7 ALA/40% ALA/45%
    Sam Turner (3) Atlanta, Ga. GT/25% GT/40%
    Caleb Cunningham (5) Ackerman, Miss. 5/31 40% 40%
    Tristan Norman (3) Montgomery, Ala. A&M/15% A&M/25%
    Travis Smith (4) Atlanta, Ga. 6/7 TENN/10% TENN/10%
Jerome Myles (4) West Jordan, Utah 10% 10%
    Dallas Wilson (5) Tampa, Fla. ORE/10% ORE/10%

Auburn continues to look for at least two wide receivers in this class, and remain in contention for two top targets in Smith and Cunningham, both of whom are committed to Alabama. Auburn also is turning up the heat on Turner, who is committed to Georgia Tech but visiting next weekend for Big Cat.

    Tight ends (2-3)

Name (star rating) Hometown OV Previous Current
Ryan Ghea (3) Milton, Ga. 6/14 AU AU
Hollis Davidson (3) Peachtree City, Ga. 6/14 AU AU
    Emaree Winston (4) Calhoun, Ga. 5/31 TEX/45% TEX/25%

Auburn has Davidson and Ghea committed and could look to add a third tight end in the class. I think it’s more likely they look to the portal in an effort to spread out the TE room.

    Offensive line (5-7)

Name (star rating) Hometown OV Previous Current
Broderick Shull (4) Bixby, Okla. 5/31 AU AU
Tavaris Dice (4) Fairburn, Ga. 6/7 AU AU
Tai Buster (3) Kannapolis, N.C. 5/31 AU AU
Spencer Dowland (3) Athens, Ala. AU AU
Jacobe Ward (3) Savannah, Ga. 6/7 AU AU
    Andrew Babalola (5) Overland Park, Kan. 5/17 40% 40%
    Malachi Goodman (4) Paramus, N.J. 5/17 35% 35%
    Carde Smith (4) Mobile, Ala. 6/14 20% 20%

Auburn added Ward to its class and continues to be a factor for both Babalola and Goodman. How much of one, however, remains to be seen.
