Community comes together to raise funds for injured animal at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary
ALBION, Ind. (WPTA) - A Facebook post raised over $7,000 for an injured Bobcat at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. The animal sanctuary is the only sanctuary accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Animals here are provided refuge after being rescued from unsafe environments and spend the rest of their lives in peace.

Warrant issued for Fort Wayne man in 2023 rape case after he fails to appear in court
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A warrant was issued Tuesday for a 40-year-old Fort Wayne man charged in connection with a 2023 rape. Shawn Murphy faces a potential sentence of nearly 20 years in prison if convicted in the case. He was scheduled to go to trial in the case last week.

Antwerp Village Allows Historic Depot to be Sold
In a special session of the Antwerp Village Council on June 27, coming out of a 28 minute executive session discussion, the council, in a split decision and tie breaking vote made by mayor Jan Reeb, decided to allow the the historic depot on West River Street to be sold.
