What's the story with Oasis' return to glory? Everything we know

That chill you felt over the weekend was apparently Hell freezing over, as the awesomely estranged Gallagher brothers seemingly confirmed an Oasis reunion could finally be happening.

It looks as though brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher , both known for their mostly hilarious but ultimately unfortunate public spats over the years, have buried their respective hatchets and are teasing fans with something positive to look forward to. After officially calling it quits in 2009, the drought may finally be over.

On Sunday, frontman Liam Gallagher , always one to fan the flames of speculation about the beloved Brit-pop band, took to his feed on Sunday morning saying, “I never did like that word FORMER,” following a series of rumors that began to surface over the weekend about Oasis taking on a ten-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium as well as a number of other U.K. dates.

Today the brothers have both shared a simple clip on their social channels with the date and time of 8AM on August 27, framed in the iconic Oasis rectangle. Oasis’ official website also mirrors this message.

Back in May, a special 30 year reissue version of their 1994 debut Definitely Maybe was confirmed on the way, set to arrive on August 30 in a number of formats, featuring recordings from the group’s abandoned sessions at Monnow Valley Studios, as well as outtakes from the final recording session at Sawmills Studios.

2025 will, of course, mark the same milestone for Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory? , released in 1995 featuring the fan-favorites "Hello," "Roll with It,” "Wonderwall," "Don't Look Back in Anger,” "Some Might Say," "Cast No Shadow,” and "Champagne Supernova."

If ever there was a perfect time for the Gallagher family to be here now... this is it. Let's all hope the brothers can keep their mouths shut for a while so as not to ruin it before it even begins. And hopefully someone else is handling the replies for the time being.
