Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber introduce the world to new baby, Jack Blues Bieber

On Friday, Justin and Hailey Bieber announced to the world that they had welcomed a baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber . The couple has since gone radio silent, but that hasn’t stopped the celebratory news cycle, and everyone from continuously talking about it, us included.

Taking to Instagram to announce the exciting news, Justin wrote, "WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER 🐻" alongside a photo of the newborn's foot. And while the couple opted to leaving it at that, you best believe the Beliebers didn’t. Delving into the familial meaning to the newborn’s name.

According to everyone, but the actual parents (though it does check when you think about it) their brand new baby boy is named after Justin’s father Jeremy Jack Bieber . Which aside from honoring, Jeremy, also keeps a tradition for some of the Bieber’s — of having first name that start with J, and the initials “JB.”

In addition to Jeremy, and of course Justin, the singer’s half-sister Jazmyn Bieber, 16, and half-brother, Jaxon Bieber, 14, also have the same initials. Both siblings are the children of Jeremy and his ex Erin Wagner .

Hailey and Justin revealed that they were expecting in May on social media with a series of loved-up videos and pics taken during their vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii.

Then in an interview with W Magazine in July, Hailey revealed how, and why she kept the pregnancy private as long as possible.

“I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn't have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff,” she shared. “I probably could have hid it until the end. But I didn't enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

Hailey also shared that her desire to keep the pregnancy a secret as long as possible was in part motivated by her bad experiences with her marriage being in the spotlight.

“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” Hailey expressed. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy,” she says. “I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”
