Billboard has officially deemed the lead single from Post Malone’s debut Country album, F-1 Trillion , the song of summer 2024. The song led the weekly chart for all 14 weeks of the season.

According to Billboard , the chart measures success, “based on cumulative performance on the weekly streaming, airplay, and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day through Labor Day,” which ran June 8 through September 7 this year.

The song’s status represents the current “moment” Country music is having as it marks the second year in a row the genre has topped the summer song charts. Last year, Wallen held the top with “Last Night,” which marked the first time a Country song came out on top of the summer chart since John Denver ’s “Annie’s Song” in 1974.

With top songs in 2023 and 2024, Wallen is the second artist ever to claim the back-to-back streak in 46 years. He follows Andy Gibb who did the same with “I Just Want To Be Your Everything” in 1977 and “Shadow Dancing” in 1978.

The top 10 songs of summer, as reported by Billboard are listed below.

#10. “Beautiful Things” — Benson Boone
#9. “Birds of a Feather” — Billie Eilish
#8. “Lose Control” — Teddy Swims
