Just a week after revealing his next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow -- the third and final release in his After Hours trilogy – was on the way, The Weeknd [ Abel Tesfaye ] has dropped the album’s first single, “Dancing in the Flames.”

The new track, first debuted on stage in Brazil last week, dropped today (September 13) along with a music video shot on the brand new iPhone 16 Pro, directed by Anton Tammi with help from his director of photography, Erik Henrikkson .

Blurring the lines between professional and amateur, “I think this is really really going to help young filmmakers coming up," Henrikkson said of the phone’s capabilities during a live Apple event, "impressed with how iPhone 16 was able to pick up the strong highlights, the deep blacks, because we were shooting with very bright HDMI backlights hitting the rain and that was something I was worried about. ‘How will the iPhone pick these lights up, how will the contrast be managed, how will this look on the Weeknd’s face?’ And when I saw the results, I was blown away to be honest.”

The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow will join his previously released offerings After Hours and Dawn FM as the last installment of the trilogy and "represents the creative apex of the project," he says. No official release date for the full album has been revealed just yet. Pre-orders are available now -- check out the official album art above.
