Set your Goth alarm clocks -- it looks like The Cure is finally getting set to drop a new collection of songs -- marking their first album in 16 years - after sending fans postcards this week featuring the date of November 1, 2024.

With just 13 albums under their belts after first arriving in the late '70s, a new offering from The Cure will certainly be welcomed by long-time fans itching for a new release since 2008's 4:13 Dream .

Earlier this week, their hopes were answered in the form of black matte postcards delivered to fan club members seemingly confirming their new album title, Songs Of A Lost World , and a release date of November 1.

Additionally, Robert Smith & Co. wiped clean their website and social profile photos to show a dark, smoky background with a simple “the CURE” logo in the center. The band is currently asking fans to sign up for their mailing list and SMS system for updates.

News of a new album from The Cure has been around for some time , but actual details have eluded fans until now. Frontman Robert Smith told NME back in 2022, “I’ve been working on two Cure albums, and one of them is finished,” anticipating a release date for the completed one, Songs Of A Lost World , in September of that year, while calling it “the doomiest thing that we’ve ever done.”
