The blink-182 co-founder and bassist revealed a forthcoming memoir, Fahrenheit-182, spanning his childhood of ’90s music and skateboarding to adulthood which came with band breakups, a cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment. Co-written by Hoppus and Dan Ozzi the book is set to release April 8, 2025 via Dey Street Books.

“This is a story of what happens when an angst-ridden kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, moves around the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate,” a description of the book reads. “Threaded through with the very human story of a constant battle with anxiety and Mark’s public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 is a delight for fans and also a funny, smart, and relatable memoir for anyone who has wanted to quit but kept going.”

Hoppus is the third blink member to share his story via memoir. Fellow bandmates Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge each published their own books in years past which told their own stories of success, heartbreak, and more.
