Local woman wins Transplant Games medal
Rhawnhurst’s Laverne Clark, a heart-donor recipient, won a silver medal in Bowling Doubles at the Transplant Games of America, in Birmingham, Alabama. Clark was one of four organ recipients from Philadelphia who competed as part of the Gift of Life Donor Program’s Team Philadelphia, which also included participants from Eastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey and Delaware.
