Road back open following crash with injury
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A Jonesboro road is back open after a vehicle crash with injury Monday afternoon. According to Wade Shapp with the Real Time Intelligence Center, the crash was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15, on 111 East Highland Drive near McDonald’s in the eastbound lane.
Terracon Acquires Little Rock-based Harbor Environmental, Adds 38 Employees
Olathe-based Terracon announced its acquisition of Arkansas-based Harbor Environmental, Inc., to continue expanding its services to the Southeastern region. Effective immediately, Harbor’s 38 employees will join Terracon and the firm will continue to be headquartered locally as Harbor Environmental, A Terracon Company, according to a release Monday. Police Catch Car Break-in Suspect in Jonesboro
JONESBORO, Ark. – Authorities tracked down a vehicle break-in suspect last week in Jonesboro. On July 10, 2024, officers from the Jonesboro Police Department were notified of multiple suspects walking through a neighborhood and attempting to open car doors, according to the probable cause affidavit. Officers arrived and began searching for the suspects. Police spoke to a witness who said he had seen the suspects opening car doors. The witness gave a direction of travel.
BPD officers, BFD team recognized at Batesville City Council meeting
During the July 9 Batesville City Council meeting, special presentations were given to officers while city officials discussed ongoing public works projects and expenses. Batesville City Police Chief John Scarbrough reported on the department’s recent activities, noting calls for service increased by 50, with eight more accidents and 12 more incident reports than the previous month. Scarbrough attributed much of the increase to the officers’ proactive work, praising their dedication and hard work.
