    Waynesboro has a chance to move forward: The future is in your hands

    I don't agree with the sentiment better days behind us, Holding on the past is what got us in a bind. It's time to embrace what we have Now. But we need everyone to join in! Not split on which direction to go in. Lots of cities like Waynesboro are making comebacks; we are in a unique position geographically and demographically to make real change. It's Time!

    My family relocated to Waynesboro in the early 1960s. At that time, we had G.E., Dupont, Wayne Manufacturing, and Cromton-Shenandoah, just to name a few! Now, all the Fortune 500 companies have gone; moving their industries to China, among others. Ever since those times, Waynesboro has been sliding backward.We hear Grumman, etc. is coming, but the "Bones" of G.E. and Dupont still remains for all to see and to remind us that there were 'better days' ... once. Grumman, and whatever else has been promised [?], if they come, will still be a drop in the proverbial bucket, while only pointing back to those days in the 60s and 70s thus reminding us who remember, that we are still in a debit mode and have been for quite some time.I hope for younger people of Waynesboro, these 'promises' come true, but we'll see...🤔
