Yelp ranked the Top 100 restaurants in Georgia. Here are the 3 in Augusta that made the list

Georgia has tens of thousands of restaurants across the state. No matter where you live, it may be hard to pick a favorite with so many options. Yelp took some of that burden off your plate.

The popular review site recently released its list of the "Best Restaurants in Georgia." Yelp's rankings are often based on multiple factors such as ratings, number of reviews, and volume of submissions. The full list is available at yelp.com/best/restaurants/georgia .

While none in the Augusta area took the crown, there were three that made it onto the list of 100. Here's a closer look at them and why they are so loved:

No. 5: Jackie M's & Son

3308 Milledgeville Rd, Augusta

Jackie M's is the only local restaurant that made the top five in Georgia. The hidden gem in south Augusta has gone to great lengths to offer a menu of delicious, authentic Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. They are also known for their homemade fries and cheesesteak-style egg rolls called "Soul Rolls." Here's what one Yelp reviewer said:

"The scenery was amazing, with murals, music, and layout. It gave off such a great vibe. The gentleman at the window was really nice, we joked around a bit, and he made the experience even better. I'm about halfway through my sandwich now, and it's amazing. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town."

No. 21: Hawaiian Style BBQ

Originally at Gordon Highway and now on Washington Road, Hawaiian Style BBQ has continued to wow customers for more than 10 years. Their barbecued chicken is a favorite, being made with hours of marinating and cooking. Some other favorites are the poké and the chicken katsu. Here's what one Yelp reviewer said:

"I love this place. This is what brings me back to my second home. Everything is flavored and seasoned perfectly. Everything tastes fresh, and the service is impeccable. Shonnalynn was so sweet and attentive. Perfect service and food...We will come back too."

No. 45: Abel Brown Southern Kitchen & Oyster Bar

491 Highland Ave, Augusta

Opened in 2014, Abel Brown has a changing menu with seafood sourced from a major U.S. seafood market, Foley Fish. Oysters are easily the star, caught or harvested in New England and Canada. Some of their other recent menu items include jumbo prawns with grits and smoked bluefish dip. Here's what one Yelp reviewer said:

"In town on business, solo dining at the bar, outstanding! If you enjoy oysters, you'll love the selection of raw options, primarily from the Northeast, on the half shell. Small and large plate seafood specials, great cocktails, wines by the glass, and a filet mignon to die for. This is now my 'go to' place when in town."
