The first Georgia location of a Colorado-based coffeeshop chain has opened in Augusta.

Local franchisees Ryan and Kaitlyn Triplett opened the new Ziggi’s Coffee at 252 Furys Ferry Rd. in Augusta, just a few hundred feet from the Columbia County line.

The 860-square-foot drive-thru kiosk, which also has a shaded patio for customers, started serving at 5 a.m. July 23.

Ziggi's serves specialty coffees, chai, teas, smoothies and Italian sodas. Other drinks include energy infusions and Fresherz, which are fruity, ice-cold beverages with green coffee extract as a natural energy boost.

Foods on the Ziggi's menu inclues breakfast sandwiches, burritos, paninis, breads, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies and cake pops.

The hours of operation for Ziggi’s Coffee of Augusta are 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.

Founded in 2004 and franchised in 2016, Ziggi's Coffee was ranked on the 2023 Entrepreneur Magazine Franchise 500, a list that rates the financial merits of business franchises.
