    2-year-old Augusta boy fatally drowns in bathtub, marking third child drowning in a week

    The Richmond County Coroner's Office is investigating after a 2-year-old fatally drowned Friday in a bathtub.

    Rayshon Roberts, 2, of Augusta, was taken to Children's Hospital Of Georgia after reportedly being found unresponsive in a bathtub, according to a news release from the coroner's office. Roberts was pronounced dead just before midnight.

    The drowning occurred on the 700 block of Cross Tree Court, according to the release.

    An autopsy has been scheduled, according to the coroner's office.

    The drowning was one of three fatal child drownings in the Augusta area last week.

    Kenzo Burt, 2, of Augusta, was found unresponsive Tuesday in a pool at his home on Westfield Drive, according to previous reporting.

    Burt was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead, The Chronicle reported.

    Adelia Tutt , 6, of Grovetown, fatally drowned Thursday night while unattended in a bathtub, according to previous reporting.

    Tutt's body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy, The Chronicle reported.
