Spotty raindrops Wednesday, but another long dry stretch will follow
The first half of the summer season has been on the dry side across the Mahoning and Shenango valleys and there won't be many rain chances over the coming 5-6 days. That said, an approaching cold front will spark a scattering of showers and storms on Wednesday. Beyond that, high pressure will build into the region and more comfortable air will settle in for a couple of days. Thursday and Friday will be quite pleasant with low humidity and an abundance of sunshine.

State Patrol Lisbon Post announces plans for OVI checkpoint
The Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced that troopers will operate an OVI checkpoint this week. The patrol says the county where the checkpoint will take place will be announced the day prior to the checkpoint, and the location will be announced the morning of the checkpoint.
