It's not the same Big 12 Colorado left for the Pac-12 over a decade ago, but after the latter withered away, the Buffaloes are happy to be back. CU officially rejoined the Big 12 on July 1, and the first order of business as a new member will be the league's football media days Tuesday and Wednesday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Colorado family discovers bear under deck
A Pagosa Springs family found a bear under their deck last week, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW). CPW Officers Cody Rarick and Nate Martinez responded to the call. According to an X post from CPW Southwest Region, the bear was likely one that had been commonly spotted for years, with a reputation for getting into non-natural food sources. Jaylyn Sherrod getting another opportunity in the WNBA
Colorado women’s basketball great Jaylyn Sherrod is getting another chance in the WNBA. As announced Saturday, the New York Liberty, which previously waived Sherrod in mid-May prior to the regular season, signed Sherrod to a seven-day contract. The 5-foot-7 point guard will be available for Saturday’s game against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever (11 a.m. MT, CBS). In two preseason games with the Liberty, Sherrod averaged six points and recorded two steals in each contest. Sherrod led the Buffs to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including back-to-back Sweet 16’s, during her five years in Boulder. She closed her college career as Colorado’s all-time leader in games started (133).
