Police arrested a 34-year-old Denton man Friday evening after reports he repeatedly stabbed a neighbor's car window and apartment door. At about 7:01 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of a person with a knife at an apartment complex in the 300 block of Withers Street.

At 6:05 pm, the Dallas Fire-Rescue received a call for 1717 San Jacinto street in the heart of downtown Dallas. A second alarm was requested at 6:20 pm. The fire was contained until 7:35 pm when the roof partially collapsed and a third alarm was called. Finally, a fourth alarm was called at 8:14 pm, according to CBS5 News.

Dallas police investigate early morning fatal shooting
DALLAS, Texas — A man was found shot and killed early Sunday morning in Dallas, police say. On July 21, 2024, at approximately 3:55 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 3300 block of W. Pentagon Parkway. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Patrick Lee Island II lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, but Island was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Dallas Police Department. The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 111594-2024. Four Dallas firefighters injured after fire truck crashes off highway onto DART tracks
DALLAS, Texas — Four Dallas firefighters were injured after a fire truck drove off Interstate 345 onto DART tracks below the roadway, officials said. The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 345 and South Good Latimer Expressway. The four firefighters were transported to Baylor University Medical Center and are in stable condition, officials said.
