The Mountaineers will kick things off at home against Penn State on August 31st. As we approach that date, EerSports will do what we always do - count down the days until kickoff, with each day covering a specific topic, stat, or prediction for the upcoming season. The Mountaineers are halfway through their fall camp schedule and are less than two weeks away from taking on Penn State in the 2024 season opener. The Carlynton Cougars have a pack of seniors that are more than ready for the Friday Night Lights. The Cougars’ roster showcases 17 seniors. Senior Mark Jameson, who played at Bishop Canevin for the past three years, returned to Carlynton for his last year of high school football. He knows the importance of a massive senior class in Class 2A football.
2026 DL Tavian Branch excited about West Virginia offer
Taylor (Pa.) Riverside 2026 defensive lineman Tavian Branch has a handful of power four offers at this point in his recruitment including one from West Virginia. Branch, 6-foot-4, 300-pounds, had been in contact with the Mountaineers for a little over a month with defensive line coach AJ Jackson and assistant line coach Jaysen Thompson leading the charge.
