Former West Virginia University pitcher Ryan Bergert was perfect Thursday. The right-hander threw six perfect, shutout innings as part of his San Antonio Missions’ combined no-hitter. Bergert, a 2021 draft pick out of WVU, did not allow a runner to reach base during his six innings on the mound.

A Look Back at Tavon Austin’s NFL Career
WVU great Tavon Austin announced his retirement from the NFL Tuesday, leaving many to reflect on his football career. After putting up 1,932 yards and 15 touchdowns from scrimmage in his senior season in 2012, becoming a first-team All-American, Austin was selected eighth overall in the 2013 NFL draft by the then-St. Louis Rams. In his rookie season with STL, he racked up 418 receiving yards on 40 catches and four touchdowns while adding 151 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

Dayton Man Transported to Hospital After Pickup Crashes into Horse-Drawn Buggy in West Mahoning Township
WEST MAHONING TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Dayton man was taken to an area hospital after a pickup crashed into his horse-drawn buggy in West Mahoning Township, Indiana County. According to State Police in Punxsutawney, 68-year-old David L. Patterson, of Rural Valley, and 56-year-old Elmer M. Hostetler, of Dayton, were involved in the collision.
