Popular Holiday Tradition Returns to a Cozy Massachusetts Town
There's nothing like winter in New England. Much like the fall season, people visit states like Massachusetts to take in the winter culture and holiday cheer. There are some very popular holiday events in Massachusetts during the winter including the Bright Nights display at Forrest Park in Springfield or the Holiday Pops at Symphony Hall in Boston but there is one that recreates a historic painting in the beautiful rolling hills of the Berkshires.
Great Barrington Board of Health officially serves Housatonic Water Works with Order to Correct
Great Barrington — On August 22, the town’s Board of Health approved an Order to Correct for Housatonic Water Works. The order has been issued through Massachusetts General Law Chapter 111 Public Health, under Section 122 “Regulations relative to nuisances; examinations” and Section 123 “Abatement of nuisance by the owner; penalty.”
Town of Lee, keep doing what is right

Flying Cloud Institute celebrates Great Barrington’s art and artists with art crawl event
Great Barrington — Flying Cloud Institute celebrated art in the downtown area on Tuesday, August 20, with its art crawl event, co-organized with Bernay Fine Art. According to its website, the institute was founded in New Marlborough in 1984 by Jane and Lawrence Burke and David Schwarz. The organization, which moved its operating offices in 2017 to Great Barrington, operates multiple youth programs in the Berkshire County region relating to dynamic science and art experiences. “This art crawl is part of a series of events for our 40th anniversary,” Flying Cloud Institute Development Manager Amy Traux told The Berkshire Edge. “For 40 years, Flying Cloud has been bringing scientists and artists together to work with the youth in the Berkshire County area. I have heard from some of our former Flying Cloud students, who are now fully grown adults, telling me that these programs were all very important to them in their development as artists. Flying Cloud is very important to all of them.”
