    College football Week 5: Staff picks for Texas-MSU, Georgia-Alabama, other top games

    The Texas football team, entering the weekend with questions at quarterback but rolling after four lopsided wins, will open its inaugural SEC schedule as a conference member Saturday against Mississippi State, which has quarterback issues of its own and is more than a five-touchdown underdog at Royal-Memorial Stadium.

    The Longhorns are favored to win by 37½ points. We're all liking Texas' chances for a big win, but what are our predictions for some of the SEC's other matchups, including the Georgia vs. Alabama showdown and the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas rivalry game?

    Last week, all four got Texas-ULM right and Golden and Davis swapped spots between first and third. Golden won the week at 13-2, Eckert was right behind at 12-3, Jones went 11-4 and Davis 7-8.
