It's not the worst home loss in franchise history, but it was pretty close. The Lions amassed 492 yards of offense and the Cowboys had five turnovers. Dallas falls to 3-3 and will face the San Francisco 49ers after their bye week.
That'll be it for the Cowboys, who have subbed in Cooper Rush at quarterback. Prescott finishes the day with 178 yards and two interceptions on 17 of 33 passing.
On 4th down and 6 under pressure, Prescott makes a throw off his back foot that sails and lands into the hands of Branch, his second interception of the day. The defensive back his tackles at the four-yard line and Goff throws a touchdown to Amon-Ra St. Brown. The Lions are up 47-9.
It's an all-out disaster for Dallas. Right when rookie receiver Ryan Flournoy gets his first catch, Branch punches the ball out of his hands and Detroit recovers it. The Lions try to get Penei Sewell a touchdown with a lateral again, but it's called back because of an Ineligible Downfield Pass penalty. Detroit eventually kicks a field goal to go up 40-9.
On first and goal, the Lions report tackle Taylor Decker as eligible and pass to him as revenge for last year's mishap, but the pass falls incomplete. Safety Donovan Wilson sacks Goff on third down and the Lions settle for a field goal. Cowboys trail 37-9.
The Lions are still dominating the Cowboys offensive line despite the loss of Hutchinson. A pass to Lamb on fourth down gets Dallas to the 38, but they stall again at the 32. Aubrey nails a 50-yarder and the Cowboys trail 34-9.
On 2nd and five, Lions star defensive lineman Aiden Hutchinson sacked Prescott for a six-yard loss, though he suffered a major injury to his left leg. He was unable to get up and had to be stretchered off the field.
A new quarter, and the Lions offense looks just as explosive as it did before halftime. Goff hits Jameson Williams for a 37-yard touchdown and Dallas trails 34-6.
The Cowboys offense stalls once again, and coach Mike McCarthy elects to go for it on his team's own 38-yard line. The fourth down attempt fails and Detroit recovers the ball in Dallas territory. The Lions take advantage with another Montgomery rushing touchdown, pushing the lead to 27-3. KaVontae Turpin provided a spark with a 79-yard kickoff return, but a Prescott sack quickly snuffed out any hope of a touchdown. Aubrey hits a 47-yard field goal to make the score 27-6 heading into halftime.
Dallas goes three and out again with Prescott being sacked on third down. The Lions get the ball back and on fourth-and-2, the Cowboys are unable to stop Gibbs from getting the first down. On the next set of downs, the Dallas defense finally shows life, getting a sack on third down and forcing a 48-yard field goal that Detroit kicker Jessie Bates hits. 20-3, Lions lead.
The Cowboys are forced to punt after Prescott nearly throws his second interception of the day. On Detroit's next drive, they pull out the trickery with a flea flicker that ends in a 52-yard touchdown pass to tight end Sam LaPorta. Dallas has been unable to keep pace with the explosive Detroit offense thus far. 17-3, Lions lead.
The Cowboys looked helpless for the first half of the drive, but the Lions stalled once they reached the 22-yard line. A tackle by linebacker Damone Clark put Detroit behind the chains and Jahmyr Gibbs was unable to make up the yardage. The Lions settle for a 40-yard field goal to extend their lead to 10-3.
The Lions are putting pressure on Prescott, delivering shots to his ribs on his first two passes. The QB stayed undeterred, however, completing passes to Lamb and Jalen Tolbert. The Cowboys find their way into the red zone, but Prescott throws a third down interception as Lions DB Brian Branch zips under a fade route intended for Lamb.
A battered Cowboys defense gets the Lions to third down, but quarterback Jared Goff responds with a 42-yard pass to Tim Patrick. From there, Lions running back David Montgomery took care of the rest, taking one rush seven yards and a second one for a 16-yard touchdown. Dallas' boogie man, the run defense, has made an appearance.
The Cowboys start their drive with Rico Dowdle getting most of the work, including a 15-yard catch and run off of a deflected pass. Quarterback Dak Prescott throws an interception that's wiped out by a holding call on Lions LB Alex Anzalone. The drive stalls at Detroit's 16-yard line and Brandon Aubrey makes the 34-yard field goal.

The Cowboys' makeshift defensive line will likely have a difficult time against arguably the best offensive line in the league. The Lions' passing attack hasn't been as prolific as last year, but they won't need to be.
Dallas' run defense in the past two weeks has been better, but there are still holes for Detroit to exploit. Dak Prescott will have to be perfect to win this game, and that's asking too much against one of the best defenses in the league.
