Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian didn't reveal the exact status of star wideout Isaiah Bond for the Longhorns ' upcoming top-five clash against Georgia. Bond is officially listed as questionable on Texas’ availability report.

Sarkisian did, however, have a promising update.

"(Bond) had a pretty good practice today," Sarkisian said on a conference call with reporters Wednesday.

The Alabama transfer receiver leads the Longhorns with 369 yards through the air and is tied for the team lead with 21 receptions on the season. He left Texas' game against Oklahoma in the first half with what was later described as an ankle injury and did not return.

True freshman Ryan Wingo stepped into Bond's role against the Sooners and has been a productive option for Texas all season with 296 receiving yards.

Bond has unique experience against Georgia, though. He caught five passes for 79 yards in last season's SEC Championship Game to help Alabama win the conference crown.

The Longhorns (6-0, 2-0 SEC) and Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1) will kick off from Royal-Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will air on ABC.
