A Minnesota man is being held in Mower County Jail and has been charged with three counts in connection to an altercation Sunday, during which he allegedly threatened to kill a woman.

Commando Obang Gor, 21, of St. Cloud, has been charged with one felony count of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon, one felony count of threats of violence and one petty misdemeanor for vehicle registration/permit/plates required.

According to the court complaint, police were dispatched at just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning on a report that a male was threatening to kill and choke a woman.

An Austin Police officer made contact with the victim, who explained that she knew Gor from a party they both attended two weeks prior and that at around 3 a.m. Sunday Gor was witnessed on Instagram saying things about her brother.

The victim told the officer that she began talking back and that Gor became upset. Thinking that Gor was overreacting she gave him her address and told him to come over if he intended to keep talking about her brother.

The complaint states that a couple hours later, Gor was at the residence and ringing the doorbell, telling another person at the house that he was outside because he was going to kill her.

After the victim told Gor she was going to call the police and that he should leave, Gor returned to his vehicle. As the victim stepped outside to get his license plate, Gor exited the vehicle and began chasing her, allegedly threatening to kill her and swinging a black and yellow tool at her and trying to hit her.

She returned to the house and told Gor the police were on the way. He then left.

Another officer later located Gor’s vehicle at the intersection of Eighth Avenue NW and 14th Street NW.

A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle on Monday and turned up a black and yellow mechanical tool in the backseat.

Gor made his first appearance in Mower County District Court on Monday and his next appearance is scheduled for Aug. 26.

He is currently being held on $75,000 bond with no conditions or $25,000 with conditions.
