In Your Community: Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate Bridge is played in Austin on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Mower County Senior Center starting at 11:30 a.m.  The center is located at 400 Third Ave., NE, and opens at  8 a.m. and lunch starting at 11 a.m.  Players come from  Mason City and Northwood, Iowa, Albert Lea, Rose Creek, and Austin. On June 4, seven teams played and on June 5 five full tables.  Tuesdays winners were: First place, Jim Fisher and Dave Ring Second place (tie),  John Leisen and Rick Stroup and Edna Knobbe and Gail Schmidt Fourth place, Theresa Baldus and Joyce Crowe On Wednesday winners were: First place, Vandy Newman and Ron Peters Second place, Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher Third place, Gail Schmidt and Dave Ring Fourth place, Joy Kogel and Paul Hanson Fifth place, Barb and Orrin Roisen
