Duplicate bridge results announced

Duplicate Bridge is played Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Senior Center in Austin. Start time both days is 11:30 a.m. Any and all bridge players are welcome to play either day.

For players who are not sure if they want to play competitive bridge, the leaders on Tuesdays are Joyce and Larry Crowe, who are always there to coach and line up partners, etc. Cost to play is $2 with all money’s paid back to players who place in the final scoring.

Tuesdays winners this week were the following:

• First: Edna Knobbe and Gail Schmidt (way to go girls)
• Second: Jim Fisher and Dave Ring
• Third: John Leisen and Rick Stroup
• Fourth: Paul Hanson and Larry Crowe

Wednesday players pay $3, and all money is paid back to winning teams. Playing five tables Wednesday, the winners were the following:

• First: Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher
• Second: Gail Schmidt and Dave Ring
• Third: Vandy Newman and Ron Peters
• Fourth: Rick Stroup and John Leisen
• Five: Barb Rofshus and Pauil Hanson

Players come from Austin and surrounding cities, including Mason City, Albert Lea and Rose Creek.
