đź‘‹ Nicole here, sipping a cucumber gimlet at The Long Goodbye , a new cocktail lounge and patio bar in the Cherrywood neighborhood.
Driving the news: The complex, which opened in April at 2808 Manor Road, includes Fleet coffee shop, food truck La Santa Barbacha and vintage store Howdy's.
- Charles Ferraro, who co-owns Hotel Vegas, LoLo Wine and Superstition, partnered with his wife Katrina Ferraro and brother James Ferraro to open the space.
Zoom out: The complex is the latest addition to Manor Road, long known as a place for cheaper student housing, a reliably good bite of soul food at Hoover's and a way through to Airport Boulevard.
- The street has transformed in the last dozen years to a bustling corridor with breweries, a private pickleball complex and nationally recognized restaurants like Este and Dai Due, becoming a broader dining and shopping destination in its own right.

🍹 To order: I loved the Lennox' Gimlet ($15) from the cocktail lounge, featuring a cucumber infused vodka with Gran Ponche Mexicano Tamarind, lime, basil and agave. Bright and refreshing on a hot day.
- The cocktail lounge menu includes classics like an espresso martini, which features Fleet's cold brew, and nonalcoholic options.
- The patio bar features agave-dominant cocktails and frozen drinks.
đź“Ť If you go: The Long Goodbye complex opens at 7am daily, with Fleet Coffee and La Santa Barbacha serving coffee and tacos until 3pm.
- The cocktail lounge opens from 4-10pm Sunday through Thursday and until late Friday and Saturday. Happy hour deals run from 4-7pm Monday through Friday.
