NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah Provides Honest Assessment of Quinn Ewers

Quinn Ewers is among the more polarizing players in college football. The Texas Longhorns quarterback has seen plenty of criticism for moments of inconsistency.

While some view Ewers as a top draft prospect for the 2025 NFL draft, others aren't so sure.

NFL Network analyst and former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah took to social media to share his thoughts on the player.

"Quinn Ewers is a fun study. Super twitchy and explosive as a thrower. Beautiful deep ball." Jeremiah added, "Once he consistently marries his feet with his eyes, he's going to make a major leap. He's very talented."

Ewers' footwork has certainly held him back in the past. It led to several instances of inaccuracy early in his career. While there has been improvement in that regard, there's still more to be made.

Ewers improved from a 58.1% completion rate to 69% in 2023. It could take more improvement to help the Longhorns take the next step on the football field.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has also identified pocket presence and processing as areas in which Ewers is fine tuning his game this offseason. Going from making throws based off one read to scanning multiple progressions is a step he could take in 2024.

While Ewers isn't a finished product, the talent is still present. We've seen the player flash brilliance in a handful of big games. He'll look to put together a consistent product on the field for NFL scouts in the upcoming season.
