ECISD introduces new district leaders: Austin Montessori principal, Executive Director of Leadership

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- Ector County ISD introduced and welcomed two of the district’s newest leaders, including the new principal at Austin Montessori and the district’s new Executive Director of Leadership.

According to the ECISD Facebook welcome post from Tuesday, July 24, Becky Ramirez was introduced as the new principal for Austin Montessori, and Dr. Maggie Aguilar as ECISD’s newest Executive Director of Leadership.

Becky Ramirez, the new principal of Austin Montessori, was reported to have begun her teaching career in 2001 as a 4th-grade teacher at Austin, has served as Austin Montessori’s former assistant principal since 2021, and has five years of experience as a Montessori Instructional specialist.

Dr. Maggie Aguilar, ECISD’s new Executive Director of Leadership was reported to have joined ECISD from Socorro ISD, where she served as a bilingual teacher, assistant principal, school improvement officer, and Principal.

According to the Ector County ISD, Dr. Aguilar has 17 years of principal experience at both elementary and high school levels.
