AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Sunday was Christmas in July in Austintown to support the Furrever and After Cat Sanctuary as well as local artisans, makers and bakers.

The outdoor market was put together by Café Rosé and Sarah’s Ceramic Studio in Austintown.

Each participating small business vendor donated a handmade item for a raffle. The donations will provide medical support to cats as well as pet-owner education.

Leah Sakacs, co-owner of Café Rosé, said all funds raised will go directly to the sanctuary.

“Our goal is to raise some funds for them through the basket raffle as well as increase awareness. They are a newer nonprofit in our Austintown community. So, just increasing awareness of the importance of fostering cats and getting them spayed and neutered as well — and then for our vendors here today as well, just getting them some business and increasing wordness that they do exist. Small businesses – we want to get the word out, and this is a fun way to do that,” Sakacs said.

The event ended at 4 p.m. Sunday.
