Autauga County Crash claims life of Center Point man
MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:25 a.m. Monday, July 8, has claimed the life of a Center Point man. William G. Donaldson, 58, was fatally injured when the 1990 Ford Ranger pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Donaldson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Autauga County 57 near Valleyview Road, approximately three miles north of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.

On Tuesday, Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall (R) announced that state Representative Kelvin Jamichael Lawrence (D-Hayneville) was arrested on two felony charges. Rep. Lawrence is age 50 and a resident of Hayneville in Lowndes County. He is the former Mayor of Hayneville. He represents House District 69 in Lowndes, Montgomery, Wilcox, and Autauga Counties. He has served in the House since 2014.

Man convicted of murder in 2022 Prattville shooting
PRATTVILLE − An Autauga County jury deliberated about an hour and a half Wednesday morning before convicting a man of murder in an October 2022 Prattville shooting. Jakerian Willis, 20, of Prattville, is set to be sentenced July 17 by Circuit Judge Joy Booth, court records show. He was convicted in the homicide of Vanshun Moseley, 18, also of Prattville. Moseley was shot Oct. 25, 2022, and died several days later. He was shot walking into an outbuilding in the 100 block of Archie Street, said Josh Cochran, chief assistant district attorney.
