St. Aloysius crushed Carroll Academy 13-3 on Saturday to improve to 2-1 on the year. The Lady Flashes trailed 2-0 in the first inning but quickly picked things up in the second. Madelyn Kavanaugh got St. Al on the board first with a single which was followed by a double from Kyleigh Cooper. Megan Theriot wrapped up the second inning with a hit to give St. Al the 4-2 lead.

Vardaman man killed during Sunday morning crash
HOUSTON, Miss. (WTVA) – A Vardaman man was killed during a crash Sunday morning. Chickasaw County Coroner Larry Harris said 30-year-old Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez was killed when he lost control of his SUV, went off the highway, and rolled over. Gonzalez was ejected from the vehicle, the coroner said.
