ELIZABETH, NJ - The application portal for volunteer firefighter positions has opened according to the New Jersey Civil Services Commission. Opportunities are available throughout the state, including Elizabeth. The deadline to apply is September 3. The City of Elizabeth requires all applicants to be Elizabeth residents. All opportunities require proof of residency in New Jersey. Sea Isle Announced July 4th, 5th, and 6th Events
Sea Isle City’s annual Independence Day Junior Olympics competition for boys and girls, age 3 to 12, will take place at Dealy Field on Thursday morning, July 4. During this time-honored event (which is sponsored by the City’s Recreation Office and hosted by volunteers from the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City) kids will compete by age and gender for Olympic-style medals in running, jumping, and throwing races. Registration begins at 9:30 AM on the day of the event, and the races take place from 10:00 AM to approximately 11:30 AM. Families are reminded to bring hats, sunscreen and bottled water for their young Olympians.

Brick’s annual Summerfest celebration begins on Thursday – Independence Day in 2024 – with plenty of food, friends, and fireworks to enjoy. BARNEGAT - The Barnegat Police Department recently announced several promotions and welcomed a new officer.
