The Ave Maria Stewardship Community District (AMSCD) has appointed a new District Manager to manage day-today operations including infrastructure improvements, utility management and will be the first point of contact for residents. Stepping into the role is Allyson Holland, who has over 20 years of experience working in the field of Engineering and Utility Project Management.

Holland has been involved with Ave Maria’s growth and development since before the community was officially established. In 2004, she began her career by working for an engineering firm on the design and permitting for Ave Maria.

“The first project that I worked on in 2004 was Ave Maria. I started working on Ave Maria when it was all farmlands; I got to see the first trees and shrubs planted when the development started,” Holland said.

As District Manager, Holland will serve as the first point of contact for residents. She hopes to hold Board Workshop Meetings for education and communication purposes with the Board of Supervisors and residents about upcoming projects and budget discussions.

“Moving forward, what I hope to do is educate the public by having budget workshops. I want to explain, line item by line item, what these operation and maintenance expenditures are, what we do with them, and how we come up with those numbers,” Holland said.

Holland brings a wealth of expertise in operational management across both public and private domains. In addition to this, those who have worked with Holland attribute her success to her quick thinking, persistence, and problem solving skills.

“I am really excited to have Allyson join our team and become the first fully dedicated on-site district manager for AMSCD. She has so many great attributes that she will bring in serving the Ave Maria community,” said Todd Wodraska, president of Special District Services, Inc.

Holland’s care for the community is at the forefront of her work. Through her endeavors to increase awareness about maintenance costs and open lines of communication with the community, her passion for improving the area shines a bright light on Ave Maria’s future development.

“I care about this community. I care about its residents,” she said. “I care and I want to make things better. I have a lot of passion for what I do. I want to be able to answer people’s questions, educate them, and make the community better. I am very honored and enthusiastic to be a part of the special district services team and use my experience to continue to improve the Ave Maria community. I feel like this opportunity truly brings my career full circle,” said Holland.
