Update: Ambulance Responds To Highway 49 Crash In Sonora
Update at 11:10 am: The Sonora PD reports that Highway 49 is back open in both directions. Update at 10:36 pm: The Sonora Police Department reports that one lane of Highway 49 is closed due to the crash near Pesce Way. There is one-way traffic control in place. Continue to travel with caution in the area.
San Andreas Man Arrested Twice This Summer For Drugs
Mokelumne Hill, CA – A San Andreas man was arrested twice in two months—once for having deadly fentanyl. The first arrest was on July 24, when a Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputy patrolled Highway 49 near Mokelumne Hill and saw a vehicle with an expired registration tag and pulled it over. The occupants included the driver, 39-year-old Ricky Daniel Cavaco, and passenger, 33-year-old Arielle Christine Rudolph.

Sonora Man Arrest After Threatening To Use An Ax Handle As Weapon
Sonora, CA – An argument over loud music ended with a Sonora man being arrested for making threats with a deadly weapon. A peace disturbance reported between two males just after 1 a.m. this morning had Sonora Police Officers responding to the Crossroads Shopping Center on the 1000 block of Sanguinetti Road. The argument began after the victim requested 27-year-old Braydan Alan Ruhga turn down the music playing in his vehicle.
Officials Respond To Tractor Incident Near San Andreas
San Andreas, CA — The CHP reports that an ambulance is responding to an accident in the 2400 block of Double Springs Road in the San Andreas area. Officials state that someone was reportedly run over by a tractor on private property and there are injuries reported. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is also responding to the incident to help. Be prepared for activity in the area.
