The day begins with the <a class="Link" href="https://www.blueridgepride.org/procession" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> Welcoming Procession </a> at 16 S. French Broad Ave. — lineup is at 10 a.m., and the procession will start at 10:30 a.m. Even if you don’t parade into the festival, you can wander the vendors and see <nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate><a class="Link" href="https://www.blueridgepride.org/brochure-2024#:~:text=Rooted%20in%20LIBERATION-,Schedule,-Main%20Stage" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> performances </a> on both the main and the cafe stages from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. To keep the celebration ( and fundraising ) going, you can also <a class="Link" href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/blue-ridge-prides-official-after-pride-party-tickets-1008879926017?aff=oddtdtcreator" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> grab your ticket </a> for the After Pride Party at Citizen Vinyl. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Liberation,” <a class="Link" href="https://www.blueridgepride.org/brochure-2024#:~:text=What%20does%20it%20mean%20to%20be%20Rooted%20in%20Liberation%3F" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank"> hearkens back </a> to the Stonewall riots in 1969 and will center BIPOC, Latinx, and trans performers, as well as queer people with disabilities.
