Sedalia Police Reports for June 7, 2024
This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue to investigate an accident that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers identified the driver, who they knew had a suspended license. The driver’s information was checked on scene by PCAD, and then she was transported to the BRHC for an evaluation. Tatiana Lara Monroy, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Monroy was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.
Edwards Man Fatally Shot By His Own Son
Benton County Sheriff Knox has reported that an Edwards man was fatally shot by his son Tuesday night. On Tuesday at approximately 10:42 p.m., a 911 call was received by Benton County Central Dispatch. The caller, Kathleen “Dawn” Burr 49, stated that her husband, Nicholas Burr Sr., 41, had been shot by their juvenile son (age 15) while she was being physically assaulted. Nicholas did not survive his wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
