The University of Central Missouri’s Center for Workforce and Professional Education, the fiscal agent for the Career Education Consortium (CEC), is connecting with CEC and Wagner Logistics to enhance local high school teachers’ awareness about the fast-growing Kansas City logistics and warehouse industry.
Green Ridge Woman Injured in Ray County Crash
A Green Ridge woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Ray County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2023 Ford Maverick, driven by 69-year-old Janice K. Hill of Green Ridge, was on Route FF, west of Holman Road around 12:50 p.m., when the Ford traveled off the right side of the roadway and crossed Holman Road. The vehicle came to rest after striking a fence.

You Can Have A Spooktacular Time At Missouri’s Oldest Hotel
Vinepair put out a new list of the oldest hotels in every state. For Missouri, the hotel is where you might get scared out of bed. I'm talking about Elms Hotel and Spa outside Kansas City, in Excelsior Springs. It's about 85 miles from Sedalia down Highway 50, then Missouri 13. Vinepair says it's the oldest hotel in Missouri and one of our state's most haunted places. Not only are those two things, but the Elm's has hosted prominent guests, including President Harry Truman, Al Capone, and gambler Bugsy Morgan.

Big BAM Riders Roll Into Sedalia From The Katy Trail
Big BAM on the Katy Trail rolled into Sedalia Monday for an overnight stay at Liberty Park. BAM stands for Bike Across Missouri. A total of 175 bikers signed up for the event. This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. Early Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suicidal subject in the 200 block of East 2nd Street. Upon arrival, Officers were informed by Dispatch (who was still on the phone with the caller), that they could not get to the door. The caller stated they were bleeding out by cutting themselves with a box cutter. Officers gained entry into the residence to locate the subject. The subject had multiple superficial cuts to the arms and throat, and had taken several bottles of medication. Officers, assisted by PCAD and SFD were able to the get subject to the hospital.

Lincoln Couple Injured in Pettis County Crash
A Lincoln couple were injured in a two-car collision that occurred Saturday morning in Pettis County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2015 GMC Duramax, driven by 23-year-old Alexander A. Timoshchuk of Ioinia, was at US 65 and Whiteman Road around 10 a.m., when he entered the intersection and failed to yield to a southbound 2024 Chevy Equinox, driven by 63-year-old Pamela J. Swearngin of Lincoln. The Equinox struck the Duramax on the right side of the Chevy. Both vehicles came to rest on the west side of 65.

A Sedalia man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Pettis County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 1997 Dodge truck, driven by 23-year-old Nathan E. Seifner of Sedalia, was on US 50. just west of 12th Street around 1:30 a.m., when the driver lost control, and the truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
