Tuesday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration plates on South Montgomery Avenue near East 6th Street. A computer check showed the driver to have an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant from Johnson County. The incident had been filed by citation in October of 2023, with the warrant issued in January of 2024. Zander Lucas Jones, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested for her FTA warrant on original charges of No Seat Belt. Bond was set at $50 cash or surety.

Cole Camp Couple Injured in Morgan County Crash
A Cole Camp couple were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday morning in Morgan County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2014 Ford F-150, driven by 78-year-old Victor W. Evans of Cole Camp, was on Route D, 322 feet north of Catnip Road around 10:15 a.m., when a northbound 2004 Chevy Silverado, driven by 49-year-old Nelson S. Weaver of Versailles, attempted to pass the Ford just as Evans had slowed down to make a left turn and the Ford was struck by the Chevy.

Sedalia Police Reports for June 24, 2024
This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. Sunday morning, Officers stopped a car because it had defective equipment. The stop took place in the 1300 block of South Sneed Avenue. The driver exhibited several indicators consistent with drug impairment. Jordan Thomas Watt Sr., 33, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Watt was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.
