Chris Broussard's replacement announced

Chris Broussard’s departure from Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple left an empty space in the booth alongside Rob Parker.

That space didn’t remain empty for very long.

Fox Sports Radio announced Tuesday that Spectrum News 1 SoCal host/anchor Kelvin Washington was stepping into Broussard’s shoes. He’ll begin broadcasting alongside Parker on Monday, September 16 as the newest member of The Odd Couple , which airs from 7-10 p.m. ET in syndication.

“I’m grateful to the folks at FOX Sports Radio for this tremendous opportunity,” said Washington. “I also want to thank Chris Broussard for his blessing. Rob and I have worked together in radio and TV over the years, and I’m confident we’ll continue the impressive legacy that the Odd Couple has created and make a name for ourselves!”

Broussard, who partnered on-air with Parker since 2016, is reportedly leaving the show to focus on his First Things First show with Nick Wright and Kevin Wildes.

“Chris has been an incredible partner, and he will be missed, but I look forward to continuing the tradition of The Odd Couple with Kelvin,” said Parker. “I’ve known Kelvin for years and he’s a great fit. This show will continue to be fun and informative! Wake the kids and call the neighbors about this exciting new version of The Odd Couple .”

KelvBroussard and Parker spoke with Washington on Tuesday to introduce him to their audience and help make for a smooth transition.

Washington has been with Spectrum News 1 since its launch in 2018 and became the host of Your Morning on Spectrum
News 1 this August. He’s also one of the hosts of the pre-game and post-game shows for the Dodgers on SportsNet LA. He also brings radio experience with him, having joined ESPNLA 710 in 2014, co-hosting several daily shows. Washington also served as co-host of NBC’s Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge .
