There was one moment before she took the set to close out College GameDay in Tuscaloosa as the celebrity guest picker that Terry Saban, affectionately known as “Miss Terry,” let slip a “we” when talking about her husband’s coaching career at Alabama. After seeing their picks on the show, it’s obvious who the real football brains behind the Saban family operation truly is.

Miss Terry was a quality guest picker on the College GameDay set thanks to the love showered on her from the Tuscaloosa crowd and her ability to fit in on set. Pat McAfee couldn’t stop raving through the entire show about what wonderful hospitality she and Coach Saban displayed at their home the night before. And as it turns out, her picks were even better.

Over the course of picking nine games, Miss Terry went 7-2 while Coach Saban went a mere 6-3 according to AL.com .

The happy couple had six selections over the nine games that were the same. They both picked Oklahoma over Auburn (W), Notre Dame over Louisville (W), Ole Miss over Kentucky (L), Penn State over Illinois (W), BYU over Baylor (W), Kansas State over Oklahoma State (W), and Alabama over Georgia (W).

The three games in which the pair disagreed went as follows, and went 2-1 in favor of Terry Saban:

Duke (Coach Saban) defeated North Carolina (Miss Terry)
Colorado (Miss Terry) defeated UCF (Coach Saban)
Notre Dame (Miss Terry) defeated Louisville (Coach Saban)

As it turns out, the tiebreaking game was when Terry said she had the back of Nick Saban’s commercial co-star Deion Sanders in an upset win on the road at UCF.

Maybe being outpicked by his wife on national television is why the Hall of Fame coach looked so grumpy while his Crimson Tide had that 28-0 lead over Georgia in the first half before hanging on for the victory.

Saban has been a great addition to College GameDay so far this year , but after this weekend’s picks maybe his seat should be getting a little warm on the set with the true college football expert in the family waiting in the bullpen.
