Huey P. Long hoped to add stadium seating.</li><li>Denied the funds for the project by state lawmakers, Long discovered there was money in the budget for additional dorms. So, he had the state build those … with stadium seating along one side.</li><li>Students <a href="https://www.lsureveille.com/death-valley-dorms/article_1ac0fa31-e203-50a4-aa6b-73ece032c835.html">lived in Tiger Stadium</a> in those dorms from the time the first section was complete in 1932 until the late 1980s during an enrollment drop, according to The Daily Reveille.</li></ul>What they said: "When Death Valley is rocking," writes <a href="https://www.espn.com/espnmag/story?id=3693406">Wright Thompson</a>, "it seems as if it might actually take flight."</div></body>
