Not much has changed in 40 years. The years I worked my way through college at low paying jobs were difficult. If you don’t learn a skill or get an education that’s the reality of a low class life. Stop having kids you can’t support.

These stats do not correspond to area medium incomes. Meaning that 30% of people pay half their income, it’s a much smaller number than that. Also the rents cited are highly inflated and likely only represented in new construction apartment rents but not workforce housing rents. Pick three random metros on the list and you will see this article is not accurate. The saying figures lie and liars figure comes to mind.
