Inside Gabby's Burgers and Fries, there's a wall that customers of all ages have covered with their dreams for the future.

Zoom in: The messages, written on a rainbow of sticky notes stapled to a bulletin board, range from funny to surprisingly vulnerable. Several people wrote about wanting to spend more time with loved ones. Others said they wanted to buy a house , seek fame or get a good-paying job .

    • A yellow Post-it in the middle offered an especially relatable dream: "To eat more Gabby's burgers."

Why it matters: That wall of dreams was the perfect backdrop for a recent Axios Nashville team lunch, where we celebrated our third anniversary of sending this newsletter.

    • It underscores our goal every time we hit send: We want to write about the things that matter to you and to help guide you through our constantly changing city.

Flashback: Over the course of three years, we've documented an affordability crisis that has rankled residents and animated local politics .

    • We've covered a massive transportation plan that could reshape our neighborhoods.
    • We've written about the dreamers who come here from all over the world to find success on Music Row. And we've explored the barriers that artists of different backgrounds might encounter there.

Yes, and: For those of you who dream of discovering Nashville's next great burger, we have you covered .

The big picture: It can be hard for a team of two reporters to capture the full sweep of Music City, and we're grateful to everyone who has helped us for three years and counting.

    • Editor Jen Ashley, bureau chief Michael Graff and longtime copy editor Katie Lewis have made Axios Nashville better every day.
    • Perhaps most importantly, our family of readers has stepped up again and again to give us tips, suggest fun road trips and round out our weekly playlists .

Whether you started reading our daily dispatches from the beginning on Sept. 20, 2021, or yesterday, we thank you.

The bottom line: Three years, two mayors and five Taylor Swift albums later, we're all part of a community that's 52,215 readers strong and growing. It has been a joy starting our days with all of you.

    • If you've enjoyed the journey as much as we have, encourage your friends to join the coolest club in town by subscribing for free .

    See you on Monday.
